A BoldSign alternative: when simpler beats more features
BoldSign gives you more for the money than most e-signature tools: a free plan with 25 envelopes a month, SMS and ID verification add-ons, SDKs, embedded signing and native integrations. eSignSimple is simpler, with unlimited documents for a flat $9/month on one monthly plan, Word upload and a lightweight REST API. If you need identity checks, SDKs or several users today, BoldSign is the better fit.
BoldSign, from the company behind Syncfusion, is an e-signature app and API aimed at small and mid-sized businesses. Its pricing page separates the web app from API plans, and the web app has four tiers: a free Essential plan, Growth, Business and Premium.
eSignSimple is a smaller, younger product. We cover the core signing job well (Word and PDF upload, a drag-and-drop builder, templates, web forms, bulk send, audit trail, REST API and webhooks) and deliberately leave out things we cannot yet do properly.

- Download completed documents and audit trails from BoldSign.
- Export template source files as PDF or keep the original Word files.

- Save templates, and set up a web form link or bulk send where you used BoldSign's equivalents.
- If you used BoldSign's API, map it to our REST API v1 and webhooks; note there are no SDKs.
Our take
On paper, BoldSign offers more features per dollar than we do, and its free plan is bigger. If you need identity checks, SDKs or multiple users today, it is the better choice.
eSignSimple is for people who want the core signing flow and one simple price. That is a narrower product on purpose.
