A Foxit eSign alternative you can pay for month to month

Foxit eSign is sold per user per year: Essentials is $120/user/year with 250 envelopes and 10 templates a year, and Business is $300/user/year with unlimited envelopes, compliance features and notarization. eSignSimple is $4.99/month ($1.99/week or $39.99/year) for unlimited documents, with a free plan of 5 a month. If you need HIPAA or 21 CFR Part 11 features, notarization or Foxit PDF Editor in the same package, Foxit is the better choice.

Foxit is best known for Foxit PDF Editor, a widely used Acrobat alternative. Foxit eSign is its e-signature product, sold on its own and bundled with the editor in some editions. Foxit pitches it heavily against DocuSign on price and compliance.

eSignSimple does one job: sending documents for signature. We have no PDF editor, but we do have a free sign PDF tool, Word upload, templates, web forms, bulk send and a REST API.

Foxit's plan details below come from Foxit's own eSign pricing and comparison pages on foxit.com; check the current offer before buying.

Why do people switch to eSignSimple?

No annual commitment

Foxit eSign is sold by the year. eSignSimple is $4.99 a month and you can cancel any month; details on our pricing page.

No yearly envelope budget

Essentials gives 250 envelopes a year. Our Personal plan has no document limit, so a busy month does not eat next quarter's allowance.

Cheaper unlimited sending

Unlimited on Foxit means Business at $300/user/year; ours works out to $108 a year for one sender.

Free to start

Our free plan gives 5 documents a month with an audit trail and certificate of completion, no card needed.

Who should pick which?

Pick eSignSimple if…Pick Foxit eSign if…
You are a solo sender who wants to pay monthly. You already use Foxit PDF Editor and want one vendor.
You only need to get documents signed, not edited. You need HIPAA or 21 CFR Part 11 features, notarization or payments.
Your volume is uneven and a yearly envelope cap feels risky.A team needs several users and embedded signing.

How do you switch from Foxit eSign to eSignSimple?

  1. Download signed documents and audit trails from Foxit eSign.
  2. Save your template source documents as PDF or Word.
  3. Create an eSignSimple account and upload them, then place fields.
  4. Save templates and set up bulk send or web form links where needed.
  5. Keep Foxit PDF Editor for editing if you own it; use eSignSimple just to collect signatures.

Our take

Foxit eSign is a strong option for regulated teams and for anyone already paying for Foxit PDF Editor. Its Business plan is priced well against DocuSign, and we do not have its compliance or notarization features.

For a freelancer or a tiny business, though, yearly per-user billing and a 250-envelope yearly cap on Essentials are awkward. That is where our $4.99 monthly plan fits. You might also compare the Nitro Sign alternative page, another PDF-suite vendor.

We compare published features and prices from each vendor's own website and list the sources above. Where we could not verify something, we say so. Foxit eSign is a trademark of its owner; eSignSimple is not affiliated with it. See how we protect documents on our security page and what each plan includes on pricing.
