A Yousign alternative for simple e-signatures
Stay with Yousign if you need advanced or qualified electronic signatures (AES/QES), SMS one-time codes or ID checks; eSignSimple offers none of these. If simple electronic signatures with an audit trail are enough, eSignSimple costs a similar $9/month but without Yousign One's 10-requests-a-month cap, and our free plan sends 5 documents a month instead of 2.
Yousign is a French e-signature provider popular with European small businesses. It covers the full eIDAS range: simple, advanced and qualified signatures, plus electronic seals, ID verification and KYC workflows. Prices are shown in euros excluding VAT.
eSignSimple provides simple electronic signatures only. For most commercial contracts, NDAs, quotes and HR paperwork, a simple e-signature with good evidence is valid under eIDAS. For documents where the law or your counterparty demands AES or QES, you need a provider like Yousign.
This comparison is about price and simplicity; it is not a claim that the two products are equivalent.

Our take
Yousign is the more complete European product, and for regulated or high-risk documents it is the right call. We do not offer AES, QES or SMS checks, and we will not pretend otherwise.
For everyday contracts where a simple e-signature with a strong audit trail is enough, paying per request cap makes less sense. That is where $9 for unlimited documents helps.

Does eSignSimple offer qualified electronic signatures like Yousign?
No. eSignSimple offers simple electronic signatures only. For AES or QES under eIDAS, use a qualified trust service provider such as Yousign.
Is a simple electronic signature valid in the EU?
Yes. Under eIDAS Article 25, an electronic signature cannot be denied legal effect just because it is electronic or not qualified. Some documents and some countries require AES or QES; check before you send.
How many signature requests does Yousign One include?
Yousign's pricing page listed 10 signature requests a month on One when we checked in September 2026.
Does eSignSimple support SMS verification?
Not yet. SMS and ID verification are not built. Today signers are identified by email link, IP address and timestamps in the audit trail.
