A RightSignature alternative now that it is folding into ShareFile

RightSignature, the e-signature tool from the Citrix and ShareFile family, has been listed from $60 per month billed annually, and its site now says it is no longer selling a standalone plan: e-signatures move into ShareFile Premium, which includes KBA. eSignSimple is a standalone signing tool with unlimited documents at $4.99/month and a free plan. If you want signing inside ShareFile's client portal and file sharing, stay with ShareFile.

RightSignature was one of the first easy e-signature apps, known for its clean signing experience. Citrix bought it in 2014 and it later sat alongside ShareFile, the file sharing product popular with accountants, law firms and other professional services. ShareFile is now owned by Progress.

According to RightSignature's own site, standalone plans are being consolidated into ShareFile, so new customers are directed to ShareFile Premium for e-signatures. Existing users are looking for alternatives either to avoid a bigger bundle or to simplify.

Our take

RightSignature was a pioneer of easy e-signing, and ShareFile is a solid home for it if your firm already exchanges files there. KBA and a client portal are real advantages we cannot match.

But if you just want contracts signed, being pushed into a bigger bundle is a good moment to look around. We think a $4.99 standalone tool is enough for most freelancers and small offices; our DocuSign alternatives guide lists other options too.

We compare published features and prices from each vendor's own website and list the sources above. Where we could not verify something, we say so. RightSignature is a trademark of its owner; eSignSimple is not affiliated with it. See how we protect documents on our security page and what each plan includes on pricing.
