Adobe Acrobat Sign Pricing 2026: Plans, Limits & Real Costs

Adobe no longer sells a cheap standalone e-sign plan to small businesses. E-signatures come with Acrobat: Standard is US$14.99/month and Pro US$19.99/month on an annual plan billed monthly, or US$24.99 and US$29.99 month to month (checked October 14, 2026). Teams licenses are US$16.99 and US$23.99 per license per month on annual terms. Acrobat Sign Solutions, the standalone business product, is priced by Adobe's sales team.

Adobe's pricing is confusing because "Acrobat Sign" is two things. For individuals and small teams, e-signature is a feature of an Acrobat subscription: Acrobat Standard, Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Studio all let you request signatures and track responses. For larger companies, Adobe sells Acrobat Sign Solutions, a standalone e-signature product with enterprise integrations, which has no public price and goes through sales.

On the US plans page, individuals choose between three billing options. Acrobat Standard costs US$14.99/month on an annual plan billed monthly, US$179.88 prepaid for the year, or US$24.99 month to month. Acrobat Pro costs US$19.99/month annual, US$239.88 prepaid or US$29.99 month to month. Acrobat Studio, which adds AI Assistant and Adobe Express Premium, costs US$24.99, US$299.88 or US$34.99. Teams plans are annual only: US$16.99, US$23.99 and US$29.99 per license per month, or US$203.88, US$287.88 and US$359.88 per license prepaid.

Which plan you need depends on the e-sign features. Adobe's own FAQ says Standard lets you fill, sign and request e-signatures, while branding with a logo and custom URL, web forms, reusable e-sign templates and bulk sending are Pro features. Adobe's help center lists Acrobat Standard and Pro (outside enterprise ETLA contracts) as having unlimited transactions per user, subject to throttling, with a cap of 10 signers per transaction on Standard and 25 on Pro, 100 pages per transaction and no knowledge-based or phone authentication.

The cost most people miss is the cancellation term. On the "annual, billed monthly" option, Adobe charges a fee of up to half your remaining annual commitment if you cancel after 14 days. Prepaid annual plans are not refunded after 14 days. Only the month-to-month price, which is 50% to 67% higher, lets you cancel anytime without a fee. Where is Adobe Acrobat Sign the better choice?

  • You get the full Acrobat PDF editor with your e-signature: editing text and images, OCR for scans, comparing versions, redaction and 100GB of cloud storage. eSignSimple does not edit PDFs.
  • Acrobat Standard and Pro list unlimited e-sign transactions per user (subject to throttling), so heavy individual senders have no monthly quota.
  • Acrobat Sign Solutions covers enterprise needs we do not: SSO, Salesforce, Microsoft 365 and Workday integrations, KBA and phone authentication, and advanced compliance.
  • Acrobat Sign Solutions works with e-signature identity partners for stronger signer identification; eSignSimple provides simple electronic signatures only.
  • Adobe's brand is widely recognized by recipients, and Acrobat Reader is already installed on many computers.

Why do people switch to eSignSimple?

Pay for e-signature, not a PDF suite

If you never edit PDFs, Acrobat Pro's US$239.88 a year is mostly paying for tools you do not use. eSignSimple Silver costs $89.99 a year for unlimited documents, templates, bulk send and web forms.

No early cancellation fee

Adobe's annual plan billed monthly charges up to half the remaining commitment if you cancel after 14 days. eSignSimple is billed monthly or yearly and you can cancel at any time.

No signer cap per document

Acrobat Standard allows 10 signers per transaction and Pro 25. eSignSimple has no signer limit per document, and signers never need an account.

A small team for the price of one license

Three Acrobat Pro for teams licenses cost US$863.64 a year prepaid. eSignSimple Gold is $179.99 a year for up to 5 senders with shared templates and your logo on the signing page.

Who should pick which?

Pick eSignSimple if…Pick Adobe Acrobat Sign if…
You only need to send documents for signature and never edit PDFs.You already pay for Acrobat Pro for PDF editing, so e-signature comes at no extra cost.
You want to cancel anytime without an early termination fee.You need KBA or phone authentication, advanced or qualified signatures, or SSO.
You need templates, bulk send and web forms at $9.99/month instead of buying Acrobat Pro.You need Salesforce, Microsoft 365 or Workday integrations at enterprise scale.
Your team is up to 5 senders and you want one flat price.Your organization is standardized on Adobe and buys through enterprise agreements.

How do you switch from Adobe Acrobat Sign to eSignSimple?

  1. Check whether you use Acrobat for PDF editing or only for e-signatures; if you edit PDFs, keep Acrobat and compare only the e-sign part.
  2. Look up your plan type and renewal date in your Adobe account, and note any early cancellation fee on an annual plan billed monthly.
  3. Download your signed agreements and audit reports from Acrobat before the plan ends.
  4. Sign up for eSignSimple's free plan and send one real document to test the flow with a client.
  5. Rebuild recurring agreements as templates, choose Bronze, Silver or Gold, and cancel Acrobat at the end of the commitment.

Our take

Adobe's prices are fair if you want Acrobat anyway. Acrobat Pro is a strong PDF editor, and for US$19.99 a month on an annual plan, unlimited e-sign transactions are a good bonus. The trouble starts when e-signature is the only reason you subscribe: you pay for a PDF suite, accept a cancellation fee if you leave mid-year, and still cap out at 25 signers per document.

If your work is sending contracts and forms for signature, eSignSimple covers it for less, with monthly or yearly billing and no exit fee. If you also edit PDFs daily or need enterprise integrations, Adobe is the better buy. See how Adobe compares with others on our Adobe Sign vs Dropbox Sign and DocuSign vs Adobe Sign pages.
